We are looking for a talented, agile Business Analyst to join our team of excellent software engineers and data scientists. Who you are

You already have a few years under your belt as a Business Analyst. You ideally work within the life sciences; or have an background in Biology, Genomics and Bioinformatics. A qualification or experience within Bioinformatics or having worked within Pharma R&D would be an additional bonus, but not a prerequisite. You have experience in working with remote software teams, within an Agile environment. Translating business requirements into technical specifications comes naturally to you, and you are ready to take the next step in your career, working directly with global blue chip customers.   • Communicate with business users/stakeholders to understand, collect, analyze and articulate the system requirements
  • Structure requirements, write and maintain project documentation
  • Understand detailed customer requirements and distill critical areas of focus and concern
  • Work closely with the Development project team to ensure requirements are prioritised, and managed keeping in view the client expectations. Act as a bridge between client and development team to establish a “best fit” considering product capabilities
  • Knowledge of or experience in Agile practices (i.e. Scrum, Kanban); knowledge or experience in working with Jira
  • Be responsible for systems analysis & documentation
  • Be responsible for functional design
  • Create and manage user stories
  • Manage and support user acceptance testing by client
  • Train users
  • Interpersonal and client facing communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Work closely with the project manager in managing client expectations
  • Experience working with remote teams and managing technical communications and deliverables
  • Ability to travel and conduct on-site discovery sessions
  • Must be self-motivated, well-organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills with good facilitation skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or LifeSciences
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
