We are looking for a talented project manager to join our team of outstanding software engineers and data scientists. At Genestack, we work with biopharmaceutical, consumer goods, healthcare and agrigenomics companies to help them leverage their large-scale multi-omics data in order to fast-track drug discovery, precision medicine and bioinformatics research.

We are tackling the underlying computational and scientific challenges of the field in order to provide researchers with software tools that will streamline the discovery process, taking them swiftly from raw data to meaningful biological results.

About the role:

As a software project manager, you will:

  • manage cross-department teams of local and remote software developers, building applications and features for the Genestack platform in the context of customer and internal projects

  • be the key point of contact with customers throughout the project, collecting and updating requirements, communicating progress and feedback

  • communicate with key customer and internal stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (management, IT, biology, bioinformatics...)

  • ensure projects are running smoothly and on schedule

  • coordinate software releases

  • document project progress

  • tailor project management processes to fit the needs of specific projects and teams

  • gather customer requirements during the project definition phase and contribute to writing project proposals

  • provide resources estimates for the project and features delivery schedule

  • communicate with the marketing and business development team to help foster customer relationships and seize opportunities for further projects and collaborations

About you:

You have

  • experience managing teams of software developers in an agile environment

  • experience as a business analyst / gathering software requirements

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • a background in software engineering (preferred)

  • an interest in biology or bioinformatics
